The process involved link governor for child protection Heather Hudson working with the designated senior person for child protection John Botterill to complete a self-audit analysis of the school's policies and procedures for safeguarding children. This was followed by safeguarding consultant Veronica Mellor meeting with Heather and John to discuss the findings of the audit. Heather also liaised with the assistant child protection officer Sharon Pickles as part of her on-going role to gain an in-depth knowledge of the key measures the school has put in place to protect children from harm and then fed back the results of the audit and her research to the rest of the governing body. | ||
