Hawaiian antiquities (Moolelo Hawaii)
David Malo was a Hawaiian who became a Christian in the mid-19th century. While he pastored a church in his village, he kept notes on what life in Hawaii was like for the inhabitants. After his death, his notes were eventually published offering a valuable historical reference.
