In the 1970s, street entertainers became popular in Quebec, particularly in Montreal, with its flourishing bohemian arts scene. In 1981, a group of talented clowns helped form the École de cirque du Québec. Little did they know they were sowing the seeds of an entertainment giant: Cirque du Soleil....
